Why the Gold Rattler?

The Gold Rattler was developed in response to a growing interest in maximizing gold recovery of desert placer gravels, particularly those with a high percentage of clay, silt and caliche content. Water and gravity maximize gold recovery – A well designed sluicing unit is more efficient than other traditional recovery methods. Unfortunately, water is rarely available in this type of environment, requiring substantial dollars to drill a well, or haul it from another source. A sluicing operation can use hundreds of gallons to process a single cubic yard of material, making it a difficult challenge for the single prospector/operator.

This presents an interesting paradox… How can someone maximize gold recovery in the desert without hauling water and extra support equipment? Honestly, there isn’t. However, like anything in engineering, there’s always compromise, adaption or new ideas to make it possible.

This is where the Gold Rattler shines! It is a lightweight trailer mounted wash plant designed to:

• Easily maneuver by hand into most dig sites
• Simplify setup and maximize efficiency using factory set components and angles
• Extend water life with a multi-stage filtration system
• Process a cubic yard of material using approximately 50 gallons of water
• Wash all rocks up to 5 inch
• Minimize support equipment

If you are serious about maximizing gold recovery, and don’t mind dealing with few pieces of equipment, then this machine is perfect for you! Let’s get some gold!!!!
